Ironsworn!

Ironsworn is a neat system that is designed as a solo rpg, it contains everything you need to start playing!

It's setting is in a low fantasy world and it's pretty gritty. I found that it's extremely good at telling a story. But, personally I found it to be a somewhat frustrating experience since it's a PBTA (Powered by the apocalypse) system, and that means everything you do involves looking up moves to see what good or bad things happen. It was a little too much page flipping for my taste, but if your in the market for an all-in-one system that makes you feel like your living in a different world, look no further! Best of all - IT'S FREE!

Instead of the beloved D20, Ironsworn uses a D6 and 2 D10's when you do stuff. I really enjoyed this mechanic, it felt satisfying to roll, and it was easy to see whether you succeeded or not, for you see; the D6 is your action die, and you roll to see if the d6 rolls higher then the D10's, and depending on if you beat 1, both or neither of them you get different outcomes.

It does some really cool things since it's a fiction first system; It does away with the concept of an inventory by abstracting it! I must admit it was nice to not keep track of how many arrows or how many rations I had. It abstracts almost everything into check boxes, it has its positives and it has its negatives and I can say it's not for me, I prefer osr games, but I will definetly play it again!
